I am a designer originally from the Boston area – born and raised in North Reading, Massachusetts – and have been living and working in Maine since I graduated from Maine College of Art in 2007.  An ongoing interest in all forms of art and making influenced my decision to attend New England School of Art & Design (at Suffolk University) straight out of high school, with a concentration in Graphic Design and Fine Arts.  It was here I was drawn to Printmaking and my fascination with the medium propelled a transfer to Maine College of Art where I majored in Print and had a minor concentration in Illustration & Graphic Design.  Upon graduating from MECA I was completely immersed in my surroundings, as well as its proximity to where I grew up and eventually found myself setting up a design studio and print shop in an old farmhouse in Cape Elizabeth.

My work has always been directly influenced by my surroundings, which is no doubt why I fell in love with the beauty of Maine and its connections to my New England upbringing.  A lot of my personal work offers simple glimpses into the often overlooked simplicity of the everyday.  In an overstimulated, fast-paced world we do not often take the time to slow down and observe the beauty and simplicity in the individual object and all other visual aspects of our surroundings.

Whether creating a poster design, fine art print or screenprinted item to be worn, my goal is to illustrate an aspect of the everyday world or convey a message that, in hopes allows the viewer to notice the beauty of everyday surrounding elements and allows me to use my keen eye for composition, design and color.  I specialize in custom graphic design ranging from logos, event design, invitations and advertisement, as well as apparel design and printing and an ongoing exploration in website design.
